Based on the oil painting Ema (Nude on a Staircase) [CR: 134] from 1966, which in turn is based on a photograph that Richter took of his then wife, Ema, on the staircase of his Düsseldorf studio at Fürstenwall.
12 copies, signed, dated, and numbered in felt-tip pen on reverse (one of these has been destroyed).
