From 15 October to 3 December 1989, the Boymans-van Beuningen Museum presented an overview of the works that Gerhard Richter produced in 1988/89, including the Baader-Meinhof cycle.
 
The Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris presented a retrospective by Gerhard Richter from 23 September to 21 November 1993. From 10 December 1993 to 13 February 1994, this exhibition was on display at the Kunst- und Ausstellungshalle der Bundesrepublik Deutschland in Bonn.
