The Japanese catalogue The Dream Museum accompanied the exhibition, which was conceived by three museums: the Osaka City Museum of Modern Art, the National Museum of Art in Osaka and the Suntory Museum in Tempozan. Significant modern and postmodern works of the three collections were selected and combined for this special exhibition.
Besides works by Gerhard Richter, the exhibition also featured works by Paul Cezanne, Marcel Duchamp, Max Ernst, Lucio Fontana, René Magritte, Mark Rothko, Cy Twombly und Andy Warhol.
