The publication 100 Artists See God documents a group exhibition that had been curated by John Baldessari and Meg Cranston for Independent Curator International (ICI) in 2004.
100 Artists look into the subject of God artistically, and their works are categorised by the curators. The diversity of their approaches is mirrored in the usage of different media: works on paper and video are part of the exhibition as are painting, photography and sculpture. Gerhard Richter contributes the painting Grey of 1973, from his own collection, to the exhibition.
With an introduction by John Baldessari and Meg Cranston and an essay by Thomas McEvilley.
